RE: Freedom of Access Law Information request

Dear Governor

Please treat this letter as a request pursuant to 1 M.R.S.A. 408, the Maine Freedom of Access Statute, to inspect and to copy as necessary the following public records:

All email, memos, meeting minutes,reports, phone logs and other public records in the custody of the office of the Governor that pertain to plans and proposals for Liquified Natural Gas terminals and pipelines in Maine. These would be documents sent or received by the Governor or his staff between March 30, 2004 and June 25, 2004.

If the Governor decides to deny permission to so inspect or copy or abstract any of the requested public records, please state the reason for the denial, including the appropriate legal citation(s).

When written information is withheld as privileged, please 'black out' those words that are privileged. Please do not 'white out' the privileged pages or portions of pages.

We look forward to receiving your response within five (5) working days of your receipt of this letter, as required by 1 M.R.S.A. 409 (1).

We are prepared to inspect and review these requested public records at the Governor's office. Otherwise, please copy them and mail them to us at the above address. If a fee is charged for rocessing this request, please enclose an invoice in the mailed materials.
